From 7K to 11K Google Clicks: How I Grew JumaBazar.pk Through SEO
How I Grew JumaBazar.pk Organic Traffic from 7K to 11K Google Clicks
By Muhammad Shahroze Rashid | SEO & Digital Marketing Professional
Getting organic traffic from Google is not about adding a few keywords to a website and waiting for rankings.
For me, SEO has always been a combination of keyword research, useful content, technical optimization, internal linking, search intent and continuous analysis.
One project where I was able to see the impact of this approach was JumaBazar.pk, an online Islamic store offering the Holy Quran, Islamic books and other Islamic products in Pakistan.

The Google Search performance screenshot from the project shows the website reaching successive milestones of 7K, 8K, 9K, 10K and finally 11K clicks from Google Search in a 28-day period.
The first recorded milestone was 7K clicks on March 15, 2023, while the 11K milestone was recorded on April 7, 2023.
That represents an increase of approximately 57% in the reported 28-day Google Search click milestone.
Important: These figures refer to Google Search clicks shown in the historical performance milestones and are not total website visits or sales.
This article explains the SEO approach I used and the lessons I learned from working on JumaBazar.pk.
JumaBazar.pk: The Website I Worked On
JumaBazar.pk is an e-commerce website focused primarily on Islamic products, including the Holy Quran, Quran with Urdu translation, Sipara sets, Panj Surah, Islamic books and other Islamic products. The website has since expanded its product and category structure considerably.
For example, the website currently has dedicated categories for Quran with Urdu translation, Islamic books, Urdu books, Sipara sets and other Islamic products.
This type of website creates many SEO opportunities because users search for Islamic products in very different ways.
Someone might search for:
- Quran with Urdu translation
- 30 Para Quran
- Quran with Tajweed
- Islamic books in Pakistan
- Panj Surah
- Quran translation
- Digital Quran
- Urdu Islamic books
- Quran for children
The challenge was to connect these searches with the right pages on the website.
The SEO Result
The clearest evidence of the improvement is the Google Search milestone data I captured during the project.
| Date | Google Search Clicks |
|---|---|
| March 15, 2023 | 7K |
| March 24, 2023 | 8K |
| March 27, 2023 | 9K |
| March 31, 2023 | 10K |
| April 7, 2023 | 11K |
So the reported 28-day Google Search clicks increased from 7,000 to 11,000 across these milestones.
That’s approximately 57% growth.
For me, this was an important SEO milestone because it demonstrated that improvements to the website could translate into measurable organic search growth.
What Did I Do to Improve Organic Traffic?
The growth did not come from one SEO trick.
It came from working on several areas together.
1. I Started With Keyword Research
The first step was understanding what potential customers were searching for.
Instead of targeting only very broad keywords such as:
“Quran”
I looked for more specific searches related to the products and categories offered by JumaBazar.
For example:
- Quran with Urdu translation
- Holy Quran in Pakistan
- 30 Para Quran
- Sipara Set
- Panj Surah
- Islamic books
- Urdu Islamic books
- Quran translation
- Digital Quran
The purpose was not to put hundreds of keywords on a page.
The purpose was to understand what the user wanted and which page could best answer that search.
2. I Focused on Search Intent
Keyword research alone isn’t enough.
The next question is:
What does the person actually want when they search this keyword?
For example, someone searching:
“What is the best Quran with Urdu translation?”
may be researching.
Someone searching:
“Buy Quran with Urdu translation in Pakistan”
is much closer to making a purchase.
These two searches should not necessarily lead to the same type of page.
I therefore worked around different search intents:
Informational intent
People looking for information.
Commercial intent
People comparing products or options.
Transactional intent
People ready to buy.
Navigational intent
People looking for a particular brand, product or website.
This helped me decide whether a keyword should be targeted through a blog post, category page, product page or another landing page.
3. I Improved On-Page SEO
Another major part of the work was optimizing important website pages.
This included:
- SEO titles
- Meta descriptions
- H1 and H2 headings
- Keyword targeting
- Product descriptions
- Category content
- Image optimization
- Internal links
- URL structure
- Relevant supporting content
The objective was simple:
Make it easy for both Google and users to understand what each page is about.
I did not approach SEO as keyword stuffing.
Instead, I tried to make the content naturally useful while making the primary topic of each page clear.
4. I Optimized Category Pages
For an e-commerce website, category pages can become some of the most important SEO landing pages.
A category such as Quran with Urdu Translation can potentially target a broader search topic than an individual product page.
JumaBazar currently has a dedicated Quran-with-Urdu-translation category containing products from different authors and publishers, which is a good example of how product collections can be organized around a clear search topic.
I therefore treated category pages as more than just product listing pages.
They needed:
- A clear category title
- Relevant descriptions
- Proper headings
- Search-focused content
- Links to related categories
- Links to relevant products
- Good user navigation
5. I Improved Product Page Content
Product pages are extremely important for e-commerce SEO.
A product page should not simply contain:
Product Name + Price + Buy Button
It should answer the questions a customer may have.
For example:
- What is this product?
- Who published it?
- What translation does it contain?
- What are its specifications?
- Who is it suitable for?
- Is it available in Pakistan?
- How can it be ordered?
- What makes this product different?
JumaBazar now has a large range of products across Quran, Islamic books and other Islamic categories, including products with detailed titles and categorization.
This type of structure helps create pages that are useful not only for search engines but also for actual customers.
6. I Used Long-Tail Keywords
One of the most useful lessons from this project was the value of long-tail keywords.
Instead of trying to rank immediately for:
Quran
a more realistic opportunity could be:
Quran with Urdu translation
And an even more specific search could be:
Quran with Urdu translation in Pakistan
Long-tail searches usually provide more context about what the user wants.
For an e-commerce website, that context is extremely valuable because it helps connect a search query with the most relevant product or category.
7. I Used Content to Capture Informational Searches
I also looked beyond product pages.
People don’t always search Google because they want to buy something immediately.
They may first search for information.
For example:
- How to understand the Quran?
- Which Quran translation should I choose?
- What is a 30 Para Quran?
- What is Panj Surah?
- Which Islamic books are useful for beginners?
This is where content marketing and SEO can work together.
A useful article can attract someone through Google, answer their question and then introduce them to relevant products.
JumaBazar’s current website includes a blog/content section alongside its product categories, showing how informational content can support the wider e-commerce ecosystem.
8. Internal Linking Was Important
Internal links are often overlooked in SEO.
I used relevant links to connect different parts of the website.
For example:
Blog Article → Category Page
Category Page → Product Page
Product Page → Related Product
Category → Related Category
This creates a better journey for visitors and helps search engines understand how different pages are related.
For an e-commerce website with hundreds of products and many categories, this becomes particularly important.
JumaBazar currently has hundreds of listed products across categories such as books, Quran with Urdu translation, Islamic products and Urdu books, making a logical internal structure particularly useful.
9. I Used Google Search Console to Find Opportunities
One of the most important tools in my SEO workflow has been Google Search Console.
Instead of assuming what users were searching for, I could use search data to identify opportunities.
I looked at things such as:
- Search queries
- Impressions
- Clicks
- Average positions
- Pages receiving search traffic
- Keywords generating impressions
- Pages that could potentially be improved
For example, if a page was receiving many impressions but relatively few clicks, that could indicate an opportunity to improve the title, meta description or search intent alignment.
If a page was ranking around the second page of Google, it could become a candidate for further content and on-page optimization.
This made SEO a continuous process rather than a one-time activity.
10. Technical SEO Was Part of the Process
Content is important, but technical SEO cannot be ignored.
The optimization process also considered areas such as:
- Website structure
- Indexability
- XML sitemap
- URL structure
- Mobile usability
- Page speed
- Image optimization
- Duplicate content
- Metadata
- Crawlability
- Search Console monitoring
The goal was to create a website that was easier for both search engines to crawl and users to navigate.
My SEO Process
If I had to simplify the strategy I used for JumaBazar.pk, it would look like this:
Research
↓
Understand Search Intent
↓
Map Keywords to Pages
↓
Optimize Existing Pages
↓
Create Useful Content
↓
Improve Internal Linking
↓
Monitor Google Search Console
↓
Find New Opportunities
↓
Optimize Again
SEO is not a one-time project.
It is a cycle.
What Worked Best for Me?
Looking back at the project, I would highlight five areas.
1. Understanding the search intent
Instead of asking only “What keyword should I rank for?”, I asked:
“What does the person searching this keyword actually need?”
2. Optimizing existing pages
Sometimes improving an existing page can be more valuable than continuously creating new pages.
3. Building relevant content
Informational content creates opportunities to attract users before they are ready to purchase.
4. Strong website structure
Categories, products and content should support each other rather than exist as isolated pages.
5. Using data to make decisions
Google Search Console helped turn SEO from guesswork into a measurable process.
The Biggest SEO Lesson I Learned
The biggest lesson from JumaBazar.pk was that organic growth usually comes from many small improvements working together.
There wasn’t one magic keyword.
There wasn’t one secret backlink.
There wasn’t one plugin that suddenly increased traffic.
The process was much more practical:
Understand the audience → understand Google searches → improve the website → create useful content → measure the results → improve again.
That approach helped JumaBazar reach the 11K Google Search click milestone shown in my project records.
7K to 11K: What This Result Means
Going from 7K to 11K Google Search clicks represents approximately 57% growth in the reported 28-day click milestone.
But I don’t consider the number itself the only success.
The more important achievement was developing a repeatable SEO process for an e-commerce website.
The website has continued to develop its product categories and content. Today, JumaBazar has dedicated sections for Quran with Urdu translation, Islamic books, Urdu books, Sipara sets, Islamic products and other related categories.
That is exactly why I believe SEO should be treated as a long-term digital marketing asset, rather than a short-term traffic campaign.
